Who are Reconnected?
With approximately 12,000 homeless people in Birmingham, Reconnected are a charity, committed to changing both the perception of homelessness and bringing about permanent improvement for those they can help.
Working with real people, Reconnected get to the root cause of the individual situation, understanding what can be done to resolve their challenges. Established by Chairman, James Ackrill, Centrick are committed to supporting and raising money for this greater cause.
What do Reconnected do?
Reconnected’s primary function is to provide housing, support, employability, and development programmes to individuals. The service is designed to use compassion and human connection to bring hope and opportunities to people struggling with homelessness. Working with each individual, Reconnected strive to provide a fresh start to those that need it, this includes access to everyday facilities such as banking, benefits, healthcare, employment and education.
Reconnected also provide a voluntary, free of charge helpline, which provides guidance for people that need advice. From those that have no roof over their head, to people who are homeless at home, the helpline is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
In addition to the helpline, Reconnected also fund, maintain, and staff self-contained accommodation for those in need. The City Hub consists of self-contained rooms, bathroom, and kitchen facilities. Allowing homeless individuals, the chance to seek shelter, receive help and gain independence.

Transformative – they explore innovative ideas and ways to find speedy and effective remedies to homelessness in our community.
Empathy – this is always at the front, back and centre of the service provided to people affected by homelessness.

How to get involved
As a business, Centrick are committed to raising money for Reconnected. You too, can get involved by taking part in various fundraising activities. Whether it’s a bake sale, a sponsored walk, a sky dive or a marathon, the money raised will enable Reconnected to continue to help those struggling with homelessness.
