Why We’re Collaborating with the Building Societies Association — And Why It Matters

At Reconnected, we believe homelessness doesn’t have to be a life sentence. We believe in second chances, in long-term change, and in the power of compassion. That’s why we’re so proud to have been selected by the Building Societies Association (BSA) as the featured charity at this year’s BSA Conference and Dinner.

The Building Societies Association represents an industry that understands the meaning of home, security, and financial stability. This year, they’ve chosen to stand alongside those who have lost all three — and we are incredibly grateful for that support.

What We Do

Reconnected operates two supported accommodation hubs in Birmingham, designed for people who are experiencing homelessness and need time, space, and support to rebuild their lives.

Our hubs are more than places to sleep. They’re environments where people can feel safe, regain dignity, and start again. Each individual has their own private room, access to food and essentials, and a personalised support plan shaped by our experienced team.

That support can include:

  • Mental health services
  • Employment coaching
  • Addiction recovery
  • Education and training pathways
  • Help reconnecting with family or accessing financial aid

We don’t offer quick fixes — we offer long-term, person-centred support that puts individuals on a path toward lasting change.

To date, we’ve helped over 300 people out of homelessness and into safer, more stable lives. But with need growing, there’s more to do.

Why We Need Your Support

Your generosity helps us do the work that matters — day in, day out. Whether you’re attending the BSA Conference, joining us for dinner, or simply learning about us for the first time, we’re inviting you to be part of something life-changing.

Through this campaign, your support will help us:

  • Keep the lights on and heating running in our hubs
  • Welcome new service users with warmth, respect, and dignity
  • Provide tailored, wraparound care that goes far beyond crisis intervention

We’re also raising funds through activities like our Heads & Tails game, a charity raffle, and a range of donation tiers — from one-off gifts to sponsorships where your name or company can appear on a door or hub.

If you’d like to be part of the solution, we invite you to donate, get involved or learn more here.

What If a Door Could Change Everything?

That’s the question at the heart of our campaign — and one we already know the answer to.

Because a door isn’t just a physical threshold. It’s a step toward safety. Toward recovery. Toward a future someone thought they might never have.

Thank you — for reading, for caring, and for helping us continue this work.

Your support doesn’t just open doors. It changes lives.
